Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences through excellent food and beverage service, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately and efficiently
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, resolve issues, and foster positive guest relations
- Support host/host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations via Yelp
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous host/host or bussing experience is a plus
- Professional appearance and positive attitude committed to providing outstanding guest experiences
