Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking an exceptional Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong commitment to patient care and education. This position offers flexible hours and is ideal for someone seeking a part-time schedule with the opportunity to help support a busy office as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure patient comfort prior to examinations.
- Properly sterilize dental instruments.
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health histories.
- Identify conditions such as gingivitis or periodontitis.
- Clean and protect patients’ teeth (e.g., remove plaque, apply fluoride).
- Educate patients of all ages on proper dental care, including demonstrating effective brushing and flossing techniques.
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients after dental procedures.
- Take X-rays and dental impressions as needed.
- Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various conditions, including oral cancer.
- Maintain accurate documentation and charts for each patient.
