Job description
American Behavioral Health Systems (ABHS) is looking for Behavioral Health Technicians to work at our SSII facility in Port Angeles, WA. Behavioral Health Technicians document client progress and behavior, communicate with families and members of the treatment team, and intervene as necessary during emergencies. This position manages the intake and discharge process while ensuring the safety and security of the patient and his or her personal property. Behavioral Health Technicians also assist nursing staff as necessary.
Pay:
Base Pay: Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) start at $19.50 per hour.
Differentials:
Shift differentials:
- $1.50/hour shift differential for swing shifts
- $2.50/hour for graveyard shifts
- $2.50/hour for Sat/Sun 0830 - 1559
- $3.00/hour for Sat/Sun 1600 -2359
- $3.50/hour for Sat/Sun 0000 - 0830
Lead Role Compensation:
After training, BHTs who take on a Lead role receive a base wage of $22.00 per hour.
Med Cart Certification:
Employees who become Med Cart Certified receive an additional $2.00 per hour, which is added to their base pay and any applicable shift differentials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Prefer past experience in social work, nursing homes, community behavioral health clinics or hospitals.
Preference will be given to candidates with de-escalation experience.
Preference given to candidates with CNA / NAR certification.
Must have a genuine concern for people and a proven history of reliability
