Furst-McNess Company is looking to add a full-time General Laborer (Plant Support & Cleaning) at our Cordele, GA location.

5-Day Workweek, 8-hours shifts (with available overtime as needed).
Starting Pay: Compensation will be determined by relevant experience and the interview process
Pay Type: Hourly rate with overtime pay, paid bi-weekly
Work Setting: Onsite, Production/Warehouse environment
Core Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (with available overtime as needed)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The General Labor role is primarily responsible for general labor and housekeeping tasks that keep the facility clean, safe, and operating smoothly. This position also assists manufacturing and warehouse teams with basic production duties, material handling, and routine plant support. It is a hands-on role that contributes to efficient daily operations across our manufacturing locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform general labor and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
Support manufacturing and warehouse operations as needed
Assist with loading and unloading materials, including trucks or other deliveries
Operate or assist with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, equipment lockout/tagout, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements
Complete additional tasks to support plant operations as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with company support
Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork
Effective teamwork, communication, and reliability skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Willingness to work in an indoor warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment
