Duties
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process sales transactions, including cash and credit.
- Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at shift end.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions and phone calls, bagging orders and providing counter service.
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store remains attractive and well-maintained.
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or coordinating store activities.
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring accurate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, including supervising experience in managing shifts or team tasks when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fast casual/QSR restaurants or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Demonstrated cashiering skills with proficiency in cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurately processing transactions and managing cash drawers.
- Knowledge of menu items and stock management.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive customer experiences.
- Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and work flexible hours including some weekends.
