Position: Technician, Maintenance
Reports To: Manager, Maintenance
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician performs electrical maintenance and industrial troubleshooting. This position supports the business with their knowledge of food processing equipment, knowledge in electrical/electronics such as PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics and troubleshooting, and CMMS & continuous improvements initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate high level of safety focus and awareness via maintenance actions and support within the facility.
- Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to address and resolve equipment and manufacturing systems obstacles and mechanical/electrical issues.
- Utilize technical skills and knowledge in electrical/electronics (PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics, and troubleshooting) to support continuous process manufacturing and achieve machine uptime metrics.
- Troubleshoot problems and eliminate manufacturing constraints.
- Establish positive rapport and provide proactive customer service to the operation team.
- Maintain spare parts and document preventative maintenance activities.
- Responsible for observing and following safety regulations and GMPs.
Position Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of previous experience in maintenance as an Electrician or Mechanic working with electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment in a manufacturing facility preferred in a food processing environment
- Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
- Knowledge and practical applications experience in electrical/electronics, PLCs, A/C and D/C motors, drives and controls
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Knowledge of CMMS
- Comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration and pneumatics troubleshooting and repair
- Must have skills and abilities to work independently performing maintenance and repairs on facility and manufacturing equipment’s
- Good communications skills and team player
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as required
- Must be able to lift/carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in refrigerated and wet environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English and/or Spanish
Pay depending on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
