About the Position
Memory Treatment Centers is seeking an experienced and highly organized Lead Medical Assistant to support our growing clinical operations in Bonita Springs and Naples, Florida.
This is a hands-on leadership position combining direct patient care with oversight of day-to-day clinical and administrative workflows. The Lead Medical Assistant will help ensure our clinics operate efficiently, our patients receive excellent care, and our medical assisting team has the support, training, and direction needed to succeed.
This position is responsible for supporting both our Bonita Springs and Naples offices. The employee must be able and willing to work at either location based on operational needs.
Mileage will be reimbursed for required travel between the Bonita Springs and Naples offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and support to the medical assisting team.
- Help coordinate clinical operations and maintain efficient patient flow.
- Serve as a primary liaison between medical assistants, physicians, providers, and administrative leadership.
- Provide direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting providers with clinical needs.
- Provide cross-coverage for clinical or administrative positions during staff absences, scheduled leave, or unexpected callouts.
- Help coordinate staff schedules and ensure appropriate clinical coverage.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and ensure examination and treatment areas remain appropriately stocked and operational.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, sanitized, organized, and ready for patient care.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and work with management to improve clinical and administrative processes.
- Assist with onboarding and hands-on training of new medical assistants and other clinical staff.
- Help maintain consistent clinical standards and workflows across both the Bonita Springs and Naples locations.
- Support staff performance, accountability, and ongoing development.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control standards, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day operational issues and communicate concerns or recurring problems to management.
- Assist with additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as practice needs evolve.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Ability to obtain BLS and MoCA certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and routine clinical procedures.
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work at both the Bonita Springs and Naples offices.
Experience
- Ideally 3–5 years of hands-on Medical Assistant experience.
- Prior experience as a Lead Medical Assistant, supervisor, trainer, or mentor is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a busy outpatient medical practice is preferred.

Compensation & Travel
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience, leadership background, and qualifications.
This is a full-time, on-site position supporting both our Bonita Springs and Naples offices.
Required travel between the two offices will be reimbursed for mileage.
Remote work is not available for this position due to the hands-on clinical and leadership responsibilities of the role.
