Job Overview
Robins Pharmacy is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and supporting daily pharmacy operations.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with our pharmacists to accurately process prescriptions, assist patients, manage refill requests, handle phone communications, and help maintain an efficient and welcoming pharmacy environment. Experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
- Process prescription refills, electronic prescriptions, transfers, and insurance claims.
- Assist with AI refill requests and help process refill recommendations under pharmacist supervision.
- Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy management system.
- Answer and manage incoming telephone calls from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist patients with prescription questions, refill requests, and general pharmacy needs.
- Provide excellent customer service at the prescription counter and over the phone.
- Assist with prescription processing, medication preparation, and daily pharmacy workflow.
- Receive, organize, and maintain medication inventory.
- Maintain accurate patient records while protecting patient confidentiality.
- Help keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Perform other pharmacy technician duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is a plus but not required.
- Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
Compensation
- Starting pay: $13.00 per hour+
- Higher pay based on experience, certification, and qualifications.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Pharmacy hours:
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays required
- Closed Sundays.
