Job Summary:
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality during the installation and commissioning of automated systems within warehouse automation and automotive environments. This position requires extensive travel to project sites where the specialist performs inspections, verifies compliance with quality standards, identifies deficiencies, and works closely with project management and field teams to deliver a quality installation that meets customer expectations.
The Quality Control Specialist serves as the on-site quality representative, promoting a culture of first-time quality and continuous improvement throughout each project.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform on-site quality inspections of automated equipment installations in warehouse automation and automotive facilities.
· Verify that all installations comply with company standards, customer specifications, contract requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
· Identify, document, and track quality deficiencies through completion.
· Coordinate corrective actions with project management, supervisors, and field personnel to ensure timely resolution.
· Review installation drawings, specifications, and quality documentation to verify compliance.
· Conduct quality audits and inspections throughout all phases of construction and installation.
· Prepare detailed inspection reports, punch lists, and quality documentation.
· Support commissioning activities by verifying equipment installation and system readiness.
· Train and mentor field personnel on company quality standards, installation best practices, and first-time quality expectations.
· Promote continuous improvement by identifying recurring quality issues and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
· Maintain accurate quality records in Procore or other project management systems.
· Serve as the primary on-site quality representative for customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or construction inspection role preferred.
· Experience in industrial construction, warehouse automation, material handling systems, or automotive automation.
· Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation practices.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and installation documents.
· Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore is preferred.
· OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
· Ability and willingness to travel full-time to project sites.

Work Environment & Travel Requirements:
· Work is performed primarily on active construction sites and industrial facilities.
· Position requires standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting materials, and working at heights.
· Weekend work and overtime may be required to support project schedules.
· Requires extended travel and temporary assignments at project locations throughout North America. Per-Diem provided.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with automated warehouse systems, robotics, conveyors, or material handling equipment.
· Familiarity with commissioning and startup activities.
· Working knowledge of quality management systems and inspection documentation.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence field teams without direct supervisory authority.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is considered an asset.
