Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Labor Lead to oversee daily operations within our food production facility. This vital role involves supervising production teams, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and a passion for continuous improvement in the food industry. Duties
- Lead and manage daily production activities, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely
- Supervise and coordinate food processing, packaging, sanitation, and quality assurance teams
- Enforce adherence to FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other regulatory standards
- Monitor production processes to meet strict quality standards in accordance with food safety management protocols
- Conduct safety audits, sanitation checks, and ensure compliance with safety standards in production environments
- Utilize SAP or similar manufacturing management systems to track inventory, production schedules, and quality data
- Facilitate communication between management and team members to promote continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in food processing plant operations or manufacturing management within the food & beverage industry
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety standards
- Familiarity with SAP or other manufacturing management software systems
- Ability to manage production or assembly teams effectively while maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Basic math skills for data analysis, inventory management, and process adjustments
- Excellent managerial communication skills to lead teams confidently and foster a collaborative environment
- Commitment to maintaining sanitation, safety standards in production, and regulatory/legal compliance standards in manufacturing environments
- Prior experience in food processing plant environments is highly preferred
