Job Title: Structural Fitter

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fitter / Welder to join our team. This role is responsible for fitting and welding structural steel components while interpreting blueprints and ensuring precise measurements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fit and assemble structural steel components including beams, joists, webbing, connection plates, stiffeners, and supporting brackets
- Perform welding on structural steel components following specifications and quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout instructions
- Accurately measure materials using a tape measure and decimal measurements
- Inspect workpieces to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a 3/8” Flat Weld Test
- Ability to pass a Vertical Tack Test
- Ability to pass a Single Bead Vertical Test
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong ability to read a tape measure and understand decimals
- Experience fitting structural steel
