Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with young children and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children in a Christ Based learning center. Class openings are for our one year old class and our three year old class. This role involves implementing lesson plans and supporting the developmental needs of students in a nurturing atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development, behavior, and academic performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and share best practices.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom that promotes learning and exploration.
- Childcare duties including, but not limited to, diaper changing, lifting children, teaching preschool in a Christian setting, working well with a team of teachers and interacting with parents.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to create a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
- Previous experience working with children in Mother's Day Out settings or similar church environments is advantageous.
- CPR and First-Aid training is required and can be completed with the rest of our team.
Hours
- Tuesday and Thursday
- Generally, 8:15 am - 2:15 pm
- Follows LISD school calendar September - May
