Possession of an NJDOE Substitute Teacher Certificate or NJDOE Teacher Certification required, a NJ DOE Teacher of the Handicapped Certificate or NJDOE Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate and Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-6 or Content Area Certification is preferred.

Successful experience in working with children

Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff

Knowledge of diverse needs of children with disabilities and appropriate special education practices

Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
