Respiratory Director
Job Summary:

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the supervision of Vent unit staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
Supervise Vent unit staff, ensuring satisfactory work performance and compliance with policies and procedures
Interview and hire Vent unit staff
Schedule and coordinate RTs' schedules and monitor attendance
Ensure all Vent unit staff is oriented and has completed competencies
Conduct in-services and lead audits of Respiratory Services
Order supplies needed for Respiratory Services
Conduct audits of all charts on the unit, new admissions, and Respiratory charting
Disciplining staff per company policies
Attend care conferences, daily morning meetings, and Clinical Meetings
Monitor vent units labs and ensure Assessments are completed in a timely fashion
Ensure policies and procedures specific to Respiratory Unit are up to date and staff are familiar with them
Primary contact between Nursing and RTs, Pulmonologist, and family members on the unit
Review referrals and ensure respiratory admissions are handled and prepared
Assist staff in completing initial admissions assessment and clinical procedures if needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy
Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
