Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.
Duties
- Install new and maintain existing production equipment
- Maintain fork trucks and other vehicles
- Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment to minimize equipment downtime while maximizing employee productivity
- Provide support for engineering sample development to include making samples, evaluating new processes and determining equipment requirements
- Conduct routine safety inspections, ensure proper guarding is in place on machines throughout the department, make guarding as necessary
- Contact outside resources when necessary to upgrade or replace equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Design and fabricate jigs and fixtures required for production
- Complete Maintenance Requests in a timely and professional manner
Experience
- Ability to use measuring devices and read blueprints
- Demonstrates strong problem solving and communication skills
- Proficient utilizing a computer
- Highly organized and strong project management skills
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Forklift certified
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
