Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing the company's sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and develop long-term customer relationships within the injection molding manufacturing industry. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, collaborating with engineering and operations teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction from project quotation through production launch.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target industries such as automotive, medical, consumer products, industrial, electronics and packaging
- Maintain relationships with engineering and procurement teams at existing customer companies to secure recurring business
- Educate prospective clients on the company's manufacturing capabilities, resin options and value-added assembly services
- Track competitor capabilities, raw material resin pricing shifts, and emerging industry demands
- Generate new customer opportunities through prospecting, networking, trade shows, referrals and industry relationships
- Manage key customer accounts and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews
- Address customer concerns and coordinate resolution efforts with internal departments
- Support customer retention initiatives and identify opportunities for account growth
- Review RFQ's, customer specifications, tooling requirements and production feasibility
- Work with the CEO to prepare accurate and timely quotations
- Ensure successful handoff of awarded projects to program management and manufacturing teams
- Monitor project milestones and maintain communication with customers throughout launch activities
- Maintain and update CRM systems with sales activities, opportunities and forecasts
- Prepare monthly sales reports and present performance updates to senior management
- Track key metrics including sales pipeline, quote activity, win rates, revenue growth, and customer retention
- Recruit, train and mentor customer service personnel, as applicable
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
