The Production & Packaging Associate is responsible for safely producing, packaging, palletizing, and preparing salt products for shipment. This position performs physically demanding work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and requires frequent lifting, carrying, stacking, and movement of heavy materials while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Operate production and packaging equipment according to company procedures.

Fill, seal, label, and package salt products accurately.

Stack finished products onto pallets in accordance with production specifications.

Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.

Load and unload materials from conveyors, pallets, and storage areas.

Inspect products for quality and report any defects or equipment issues.

Maintain cleanliness of production equipment and work areas.
-
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and company safety policies.

Assist with changeovers, sanitation, and preventative maintenance as needed.

Support inventory counts and material organization.
-
Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
This position is classified as heavy work and requires the employee to perform the following essential physical functions on a regular basis:

Frequently lift and carry 50–75 pounds without assistance.

Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with team assistance or mechanical equipment.

Push and pull pallet jacks, carts, and production equipment weighing up to several hundred pounds.

Stand and walk for 10 hour shifts

Frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, and reach above shoulder height.

Frequently grasp, grip, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.

Climb stairs and ladders as necessary.

Work in varying temperatures, including warm and cool production areas.

Safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, hairnets, and other food manufacturing PPE.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, food production, or packaging experience preferred but not required.
