Job Summary
Seattle Softball Academy (SSA) is a softball club that was founded in 2022. All of our
coaches are either employees or independent contractors paid hourly.
Coaches work from 150 hours to 400 hours from September through the end of July depending on which team they coach.
We are seeking passionate and dedicated softball coaches to lead and develop our
athletes in a supportive and competitive environment. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in sports coaching, particularly in softball or baseball, and possess
the ability to motivate and inspire players of all skill levels. This role involves not only
teaching the fundamentals of the game but also fostering teamwork, discipline, and
sportsmanship among players.
Responsibilities
● Evaluate individual player performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement
● Ensure a safe playing environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
● Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaching staff
regarding team progress and expectations.
● Promote teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
Experience
● Previous experience in sports coaching, particularly in softball or baseball, is required.
● Background in physical education or related fields is a plus.
● Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate young athletes.
● Excellent communication skills to effectively convey techniques and strategies.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 / hour starting, flexible based on experience
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
