Location: St. George, Utah (On-site)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: [Owner / Operations Lead], with creative and strategic direction from our fractional Chief Marketing Officer
About Us
The JMI Group is a family of St. George companies with roots running back to 1935. What began as a family construction and building-materials business has grown, over generations, into a full-service real estate development and construction firm that designs, develops, builds, buys, sells, leases, and manages commercial property throughout Southern Utah.
Today the group includes JMI Property Services, our commercial property management and real estate brokerage company; JMI Constructors, our commercial and industrial construction and design-build arm; and a number of related ventures. Across all of them, we operate by a simple promise: Your Investment. Our Priority. As real estate developers and property owners ourselves, we treat every project as if it were our own.
We’re a tight-knit, community-minded team built on commitment, trust, and experience — and we’re growing. If you want a role where your work is visible, your ideas matter, and you can build something alongside a company that has been part of this community for the better part of a century, you’ll fit right in.
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing Specialist to own the day-to-day execution of marketing across our family of companies — primarily JMI Property Services and JMI Constructors, with support for Jentec Industries and other projects as they come up. You’ll manage our social presence, design marketing materials, and help shape our web presence, all under the strategic direction of our fractional CMO. This isn’t a role where you’ll be waiting for detailed instructions on every task; we need someone who picks up on direction quickly, fills in the gaps with good judgment, and gets things done.
You’ll work across several brands at once, so comfort juggling different audiences and switching gears is essential. You’ll either do the work yourself or coordinate the right people to get it done. The ideal person is equal parts creative and organized — comfortable designing a flyer in the morning, scheduling a month of social content in the afternoon, and mapping out a website improvement the next day.
What You’ll Do
Social Media (our largest channel mix)
- Own and manage 10–15 social media channels across multiple brands and properties
- Plan, create, schedule, and publish content; maintain a consistent posting cadence
- Engage with our audience and monitor performance, adjusting based on what’s working
Design & Creative
- Design marketing materials — flyers, brochures, digital ads, signage, email graphics, and similar pieces
- Maintain brand consistency across everything we put out
- Translate the CMO’s vision and our brand values into polished, on-brand creative
Website & Digital
- Help plan and execute website redesign and ongoing improvements
- Update site content, imagery, and pages; either do the work directly or direct outside developers/designers
- Apply enough technical understanding to make smart decisions and keep projects moving
General
- Take strategic direction from our fractional CMO and turn it into executed work
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines at once without dropping balls
- Coordinate with outside vendors, freelancers, or contractors when needed
- Bring ideas to the table — we want a thinker, not just an order-taker
What We’re Looking For
- A strong creative and execution skill set across social media, graphic design, and web — you don’t have to be elite at all three, but you should be solid across the board and genuinely strong in at least one
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar)
- Hands-on experience managing business social media accounts
- Enough web literacy to manage or direct a website redesign (familiarity with WordPress or a similar CMS a plus)
- The ability to take a concept and move with it — quick to learn, self-directed, and resourceful
- Excellent organization and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego attitude
Experience: 2+ years in a marketing, design, or social media role preferred. That said, if you’re earlier in your career but clearly talented and a fast learner, we want to hear from you.
Nice to Have
- Experience in real estate, construction, property management, or a related industry
- Email marketing experience
- Basic photo/video editing skills
- Copywriting ability
- Experience working with or alongside an agency or outsourced marketing leadership
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you’ll be the engine that turns our marketing strategy into real, visible output. Within the first few months, you’ll have taken ownership of our social channels, produced marketing materials we’re proud of, and made meaningful progress on our web presence — all while working hand-in-hand with our CMO to keep everything pointed in the right direction.
