We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full Time Infant Assistant Teacher/Afternoon Staff to join our nurturing early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones in areas such as motor skills, language, and social-emotional growth
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine infant care tasks with compassion and professionalism
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and encouraging social interactions among children
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or preschools
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and mandated reporting laws preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, team members, and children
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Ability to manage classroom activities with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies suitable for infants and toddlers
