We're looking for a self-motivated person who loves animals and is interested in learning more about them, including how to handle them when they are not feeling their best. Our kennel staff works with our hospital to provide medically supervised boarding, therefore, some medical knowledge is helpful and training is provided. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about training to provide daily care and some medically necessary procedures. It will benefit our new kennel person to be interested in the veterinary industry and how animals benefit from the bonds we create, as well as the care and supervision we provide.
Our Kennel Team Members service our boarders, patients, and the hospital by providing:
- Expert basic care and satisfying the needs of animals who are boarding, being groomed, and who are patients
- Animal husbandry knowledge is a must for kennel staff
- Monitoring boarders and patients for signs of illness or injury
- Cleaning of cages, runs, and ward areas
- The proper feeding and care of all hospitalized animals
- Maintaining the hospital and the hospital grounds
- Training is provided for every task
This role is a part-time position.
This position also comes with a future option to begin training with our technician staff to develop medical skills. Ideal for anyone trying to enter the veterinary industry in the hopes of training to acquire technical skills and pursue education for an eventual career as a veterinary technician.
The required schedule is as follows:
Tuesday - 630am until 230pm
Wednesday - 2pm until 9pm
Thursday - 2pm until 9pm
Saturday - 630am until 230pm
