Position: Manual Press Brake Operator
Shift: 2nd Shift 5pm - 1:45am + OT
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay rate: $20-25 DOE
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual press brake machines to bend and form metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production orders.
- Select and install appropriate tooling for production runs.
- Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer standards.
- Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a manual press brake in a manufacturing environment required.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
