Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to transport customers’ belongings to and from various locations.
- Load and unload items using heavy lifting techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and manual handling tools.
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, addressing questions, and providing professional assistance throughout the moving process.
- Plan and follow efficient route driving schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as organizing inventory, preparing shipments, and managing loading/unloading operations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct routine safety inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or mover, with familiarity in route driving and load & unload procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading activities.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred).
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Prior experience in moving services or courier roles is highly desirable.
