Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of skilled technicians, coordinate service projects, and ensure the delivery of top-tier HVAC solutions to our clients. Your expertise in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and field service management will drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement within our service department. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of HVAC service technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing workforce.
- Oversee daily service operations, ensuring timely scheduling and dispatching of field technicians for maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Review schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical drawings to accurately diagnose issues and develop effective repair strategies.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and deliver customized HVAC solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Ensure all service work complies with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration).
- Manage inventory levels of parts and equipment necessary for maintenance and repairs; oversee equipment repair processes including welding and boiler servicing.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends such as ammonia refrigeration systems, mechanical innovations, and new HVAC technologies to enhance service offerings.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, appliance repair, and property maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing field service teams in construction or mechanical environments.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and technical drawings is essential for diagnosing complex system issues.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving ohmmeters or other diagnostic tools; welding skills are a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge across boilers, air conditioning units, mechanical systems, and ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to HVAC/R work environments and property maintenance standards. Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
