Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a pivotal role in fueling Inner Valor’s growth by sourcing, recruiting, and retaining top security personnel. This individual will lead full-cycle recruitment, implement dynamic hiring strategies, oversee onboarding, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. They will work closely with HR and operations to align hiring initiatives with business goals and maintain a robust talent pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition Strategy & Workforce Planning
Develop and execute a proactive, high-impact talent acquisition strategy to support business growth.
Identify and implement innovative sourcing techniques, including digital recruitment, social media, networking, and industry partnerships.
Build relationships with veterans’ organizations, trade schools, law enforcement networks, and other talent pools to attract top-tier security professionals.
Manage vendor relationships, including staffing agencies and recruitment platforms, to expand candidate reach.
2. Candidate Sourcing & Recruitment
Conduct proactive outreach to attract passive candidates through Indeed, job boards, industry forums, and targeted recruiting campaigns.
Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates to ensure alignment with Inner Valor’s high standards.
Maintain a strong talent pipeline to quickly address staffing needs and minimize vacancies.
Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and ensure a seamless recruitment process.
3. Hiring & Selection Process Management
Support the entire hiring process, from job posting to interviews, background checks, and reference verifications.
Ensure that new hires meet all regulatory and client-specific requirements, including licensing and certifications.
Work closely with HR and operations to develop standardized interview processes and ensure hiring consistency.
4. Onboarding & Employee Integration
Support a structured onboarding experience that fully integrates new hires into the company.
Ensure all paperwork, compliance training, and security certifications are completed efficiently.
Develop programs to improve new hire engagement and retention, reducing turnover and enhancing team cohesion.
Monitor new hires’ performance during their probation period to ensure successful integration and job readiness.
5. Recruitment Metrics & Continuous Improvement
Track and analyze key recruitment metric s (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source-of-hire, turnover rates).
Provide regular reports and insights, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
Continuously refine hiring processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and a high-quality candidate experience.
6. Employer Branding & Talent Marketing
Enhance Inner Valor’s reputation as an employer of choice in the security industry.
Develop engaging job ads, social media campaigns, and career site content to attract top talent.
Build relationships with educational institutions, military transition programs, and industry associations to create long-term talent pipelines.
7. Compliance & Legal Considerations
Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal hiring and onboarding regulations.
Stay updated on employment laws, security industry hiring requirements, and licensing processes to ensure compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in security, facilities management, or similar service industries.
Strong track record in high-volume recruiting and rapid staffing turnaround.
Deep understanding of security industry hiring needs, including licensing and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and recruitment platforms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence candidates and stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience recruiting in security services, law enforcement, or military-related fields.
Knowledge of state and national security guard licensing and hiring compliance.
Experience in diversity hiring initiatives to enhance workforce representation.
SHRM or PHR certification is a plus.
