Silver Eagle Refining is seeking a qualified individual to work in a dynamic laboratory environment in support of refinery operations. The qualified candidate will have a basic understanding of laboratory and refinery operations... The shift is a rotating 12 hour shift (4-days, 4 graveyards) with four days off between shifts.
Requirements:
Essential Job Functions
· Take a lead role in the safe and timely execution of test methods, the respective data entry and reporting, exception response, and daily SQC of the instruments and methods for product certification, compliance testing, test runs, stream monitoring, and etc., including, but not limited to the following processes.
o Crude Unit
o Mobil Distillate Dewaxer (MDDW)
o Stabilizer
o Vacuum Unit
o Tanks
o Boiler Water
o Cooling Tower Water
o Process Water
o R&D Samples
o Inbound/outbound trucks
o Desalter
o Inter-laboratory (round robin) test samples
· Ensure data and instrument integrity, and report any atypical sample condition, analytical results, and equipment irregularities
· Assume responsibility for basic frontline maintenance and routine calibrations of laboratory equipment.
· Participate in efforts to improve laboratory safety and ergonomic issues.
· Help write laboratory methods and participates in training other technicians.
· Understand application of data system procedures (e.g. sample login, test editing, sample processing).
· Understand basic properties of products and process streams.
· Communicate directly with operations/customers concerning daily test results and routine sample issues.

· High school diploma/GED.
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Willingness to work the required work schedule, and to provide shift coverage, work over-time, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.
· Willingness to work in a diverse, multi-skilled, achievement oriented, team-based environment.
