Travel Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech)
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53233
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-Hour Day Shift, 40 Hours/Week)
Contract: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Start Date: August 24
Join a Level IV Trauma Center with 14 operating rooms in Milwaukee, WI. We are seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist to support a variety of surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, GYN, Robotics, Plastics, and Urology. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a highly collaborative surgical team in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Mandatory Requirements to Apply
- Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience
- First-time travelers welcome with 3+ years of Operating Room experience
- Current BLS Certification
- CST Certification preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience scrubbing Orthopedic, General Surgery, and GYN procedures
- DaVinci XI robotic surgery experience required
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures.
- Scrub and assist surgeons during Orthopedic, General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, Bariatric, Laparoscopic, and Robotic procedures.
- Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment before each procedure.
- Assist with DaVinci XI robotic cases and support Stryker Mako orthopedic procedures.
- Ensure proper instrument counts and maintain sterile technique throughout each surgery.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, circulating nurses, and the operating room team.
- Accurately document procedures and maintain workflow using Epic EMR.
- Participate in the department's shared on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
