Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Square POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Deliver food and drinks swiftly from the kitchen to tables, maintaining proper food handling and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and assisting with dishwashing and kitchen sanitation routines.
- Support the dining team by restocking supplies, refilling beverages, and helping with catering or banquet setups when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred; hospitality background is a plus.
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tables, and lift moderate loads when necessary.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including order taking, serving, bussing, dishwashing, and beverage preparation.
