Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position requires a strong commitment to patient service and the ability to work effectively within various medical specialties, including dermatology, medical-surgical, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth operation of clinic activities.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Conduct basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary.
- Ensure proper handling of equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality.
Qualifications
- Certified medical assistant with relevant credentials preferred.
- Experience in various medical settings such as urgent care, dermatology, or hospital medicine is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care protocols and clinic operations.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Attendance and timeliness are extremely important.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications in relevant specialties are advantageous.
