Key Deliverables
- Work closely with National HVAC Service and Energy Consulting leaders along with our national partner network of 40+ acquired companies to ensure all billing, vendor payments, cash flow, and month end close processes are consistent and accurate
- Monthly financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP
- Optimize, develop, and monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and controls
Position Responsibilities
- Ensure accounting of month-end close responsibilities are completed timely; implement robust processes to ensure financial statement integrity, including balance sheet account reconciliations and income statement analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address AP-related inquiries and discrepancies
- Regular interaction with top leaders at over 40 locations to advise on financial status related to our national HVAC and Energy services projects
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost savings
- Must be experienced with WIP schedules and Project accounting
- Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations and coordinating with external auditors to ensure successful engagement
- Support team with key strategic and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with new financial technology implementations as needed
Position Requirements - Minimum
- 3+ years of prior accounting experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting
- Experience with Construction/Contractor accounting- preferred
- Strong systems proficiency, able to navigate multiple platforms
- Able to communicate accounting and financial information using common language
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
- Excellent organization and priority setting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail with high accuracy
- Highly motivated, able to take initiative, and comfortable working independently
- Resourceful – figures out how to creatively achieve results
- Thrives in a nimble, lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Positive attitude, team player, works collaboratively
- Impeccable integrity and ethical standards

Preferred
- Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum and Build Ops
- Public accounting experience (strongly preferred)
- Active CPA license preferred but not required.
