Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to clients in. This vital role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. As a PCA, you will play a crucial part in supporting clients’ independence while delivering personalized care that enhances their quality of life. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient observations such as vital signs and overall health status
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following medical protocols
- Support clients with mobility using patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs ( not required)
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
- Follow home healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with specialized needs such as dementia or Alzheimer’s care, including memory care strategies
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Ensure safety during patient transfers and respond promptly to emergencies using first aid or CPR when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience working as a PCA or caregiver in assisted living, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia preferred.
- Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods (such as Hoyer lifts or gait belts preferred)
- Understanding of home health care regulations and hospice care practices advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks required for patient transfer assistance
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
