American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long-Term Care position at a state/government-run skilled nursing facility in Vestal, NY, requiring at least 1 year of LTC or related experience and an active NY RN license.

Long-term care setting within a 300-bed state/government-run facility offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care services

Patient population includes residents with Alzheimer's and dementia

Patient ratio of 1:18–20

Night shift, 8-hour shifts (22:30–07:45), 5 days per week

Every other weekend required upon center request

No floating between units required
-
Charting via Point Click Care (PCC); prior experience not required

Local candidates are accepted

Active NY State RN license required; no license encumbrances or violations allowed

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; candidates with recent rehab, med/surg, or other hospital experience will also be considered

Proof of NY RN license required for consideration

Night shift is generally slower-paced

No medication pass responsibilities for this role

Pre-assignment compliance process takes approximately 1.5–2 weeks

Online onboarding modules (via Relias) must be completed no later than 3 days prior to the assignment start date; module access is sent via email within 48 hours of offer acceptance

Any shift change requests after an offer is accepted will not be accommodated
-
All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO will not be approved after an offer is made

Cannot take every holiday off; holiday coverage is expected

Call-outs must be communicated with more than 24 hours of advance notice

Solid-color scrubs and closed-toe shoes required
