Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Cleaner to join our dynamic team. This is a weekend position only (Saturday & Sunday mornings). In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various sections of the restaurant, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for customers and fellow staff members. Your proactive approach to cleaning and organization will contribute significantly to the overall quality and appearance of our spaces. This position offers an energetic work atmosphere where your efforts directly impact the comfort and safety of our team and guests. * Some heavy lifting is required for this position.
The hours for this position are somewhat flexible; approximately 4 hours of cleaning must be completed by 2 pm on Saturday and 12 pm on Sunday. Earlier hours may be required during the month of October.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including bathrooms, surface cleaning, floor care, and vacuuming carpet to uphold high standards of hygiene.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures effectively across all areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners with precision and care.
- Handle light laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Manage janitorial supplies by monitoring inventory levels and using cleaning detergents responsibly.
- Practice manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy equipment or furniture to prevent injury.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or housekeeping is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care methods, and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and detergents along with proper handling procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
- Demonstrated reliability with a keen eye for detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
