American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.
-
MS/Tele unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
-
Float pool position requiring flexibility between two MS/Tele units
-
Standard med surg/tele equipment used, including Liko lifts in most patient rooms
-
Cerner EMR used, experience preferred
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7pm-7am
-
Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required to where most needed, including other units or nearby affiliate hospitals
-
Guaranteed 36 hours per week with facility allowed up to 6 call-offs during a 13-week assignment

Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact license required (pending accepted)
-
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
-
BSN preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred

Cerner charting experience preferred
-
Facility is a Teaching, Level IV trauma center with 87 staffed beds

Navy blue scrubs required

Travel pairs accepted

Candidates must be open to floating without restrictions based on skills and census needs

RTO requests require unit manager approval
-
No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation

Candidates must be available to work 2 of the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Previous Northern Arizona Healthcare staff must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler

All employees expected to adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
