We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general and cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign and pediatrics.
- Prepare, sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take digital X-Rays and I-Tero scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix Ascend dental software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
- Manage patient flow, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment, with knowledge of dental equipment and clinical procedures.
- Proficiency in Dentrix and dental terminology.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, including healthcare infection prevention and control and dental sterilization procedures.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, oral surgery protocols, cosmetic dentistry protocols and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
- Ability to take accurate dental X-rays and operate dental imaging equipment safely.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
- Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is required.
