Job Description
Precast Concrete Production Worker is responsible for manufacturing high quality precast products by preparing forms, installing reinforcement and embedded materials, placing and finishing concrete, stripping forms, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. This position works in a fast-paced, team work environment and follows production schedules and company safety requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read and Interpret shop drawings and production schedules.
Build, assemble, clean, and strip steel concrete forms.
Install reinforcing steel, welded wire mesh, lifting hardware, blockouts, and embedded components.
Prepare forms by cleaning, oiling, and inspection prior to concrete placement.
Place, vibrate, consolidate, and finish concrete to meet product specifications.
Strip finished product from forms.
Repair minor surface defects and perform quality inspections on completed products.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, overhead cranes, forklift, and other production equipment as trained and authorized.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard free work area using good housekeeping practices.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
Previous manufacturing, construction, concrete, carpentry, or precast experience preferred but not required.
Ability to read a tape measure and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Attention to safety, quality, and safety.
Ability to work as part of team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50lbs, heavier lifting with mechanical equipment.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
Work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to varying temperatures.
Preferred Skills
Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and precast production.
Knowledge of reinforcing steel placement and embedded hardware installation.
Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
Familiarity with quality control procedures and manufacturing standards.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
