About Us:
Peony Modern Chinese Kitchen is a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant in Bellevue, dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. We are currently looking for a sharp, organized, and energetic Expeditor (Expo) to join our team.
The Expo is the vital bridge between our kitchen and front-of-house (FOH) staff. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, have excellent communication skills, and love keeping things moving efficiently, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main liaison between the kitchen (BOH) and service staff (FOH) to ensure smooth operations.
Manage and organize ticket flow, ensuring orders are prepared and sent out in the correct sequence.
Conduct a final quality check on every dish (presentation, garnishes, temperature) before it leaves the kitchen.
Package and organize takeout/delivery orders accurately.
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized expeditor stations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Communication: Outstanding verbal communication skills with the ability to stay calm and clear under pressure.
Organization & Speed: Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail.
Teamwork: A proactive team player who can collaborate effectively with both chefs and servers.
Experience: Prior experience as a restaurant Expo, Food Runner, or in a high-volume kitchen is highly preferred (but we are willing to train the right person with great hustle and attitude).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
