Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and accountability
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to engage customers and highlight features
- Assist in inventory management through stocking and merchandising tasks to keep the sales floor tidy and inviting
Experience
- Prior cashiering or retail sales experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling tasks
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
- Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is advantageous
