Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to create smooth, level surfaces according to project specifications
- Set up and dismantle formwork and scaffolding using carpentry skills and hand tools
- Install rebar and metal studs as reinforcement for concrete structures following blueprints and technical drawings
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and position concrete components
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations diligently during all phases of construction
- Interpret construction plans and blueprints accurately to ensure proper placement of concrete elements
- Support the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls using specialized techniques like stucco and caulking
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans with precision
- Experience with concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping processes
- Familiarity with construction estimating and interpreting blueprint specifications
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and protocol adherence
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, flooring installation, plastering, renovation techniques, stucco application, caulking methods, and concrete cutting techniques
