Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art using the latest techniques and tools.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and sterilization to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail treatments or products.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently using salon software like Millennium or similar platforms.
- Upsell retail products and promote new services through engaging social media management strategies.
- Assist at the front desk by greeting guests, scheduling appointments, and handling client inquiries with excellent communication skills.
- Conduct product demos and educate clients on nail care routines, including dermabrasion or other advanced treatments like dermal fillers or esthetic laser therapy when applicable.
- Stay current with industry trends such as nail art design, color theory, and new techniques like hair extensions or eyelash extensions to enhance service offerings.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Nail Technician or in a similar cosmetology role with a strong portfolio of nail art and treatments.
- Certification in cosmetology or nail technology from an accredited program is required; additional training in botulinum toxin treatment or dermal fillers is a plus.
- Familiarity with salon management software such as Millennium or MINDBODY for scheduling and client records management.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, body waxing, hair threading, makeup application, and barbering is advantageous.
- Experience with retail sales, upselling techniques, and social media management to promote services effectively.
- Background in Med Spa environments or hospitality settings enhances your ability to deliver guest-centric service.
