William Quinn & Sons has been building landscapes for Chicago's south and west suburbs since 1951 — three generations, same family, same yard on 127th Street in Alsip. We do premium residential and commercial work: paver patios and walkways, seat walls, steps, drainage, grading, and full plantings. Our construction crew runs directly under one of the owners, so you always know what's expected and you've got someone right there to work with.
We're looking to add a skilled crew member who takes pride in the finished product.
What you'll be doing:
· Excavating and grading, installing and compacting base material
· Cutting and setting pavers — patios, walks, seat walls, steps
· Running plate compactor, cut-off saw, and hand tools
· Installing plant material, sod, and mulch
· Loading, hauling, and handling material
What we're looking for:
· 2+ years of landscape construction or hardscape experience
· An eye for a straight line and a tight joint
· Skid steer or mini-excavator experience is a plus
· Able to lift 80 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in heat and cold
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our Alsip yard
· Dependable — our customers count on us being there, and so does your crew
What we offer:
· Pay based on your experience and ability, reviewed at 30 days
· Steady 40+ hours, Monday through Friday, paid weekly
· Overtime at time and a half
