Position Overview
We are seeking TK–3rd Grade Teachers to work on providing engaging academic instruction while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning in every student.
Responsibilities
- Teach students in TK, 1/2/3rd Grades in small groups (up to 12 students)
- Teach literacy, phonics, reading comprehension, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Plan and lead engaging, standards-based lessons
- Create a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations with administration
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and follow the school's curriculum and daily routines
- Build positive relationships with students and families
Qualifications
- Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, energetic, organized, and dependable
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passion for education and helping students succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- California Teaching Credential or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience teaching TK, Kindergarten, or Elementary grades
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Bilingual (English/Russian or other languages) is a plus
Schedule Options
Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Part-Time
- Monday–Friday
- 8:30AM - 3:00PM
- 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Compensation
$24–$30 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
