We are looking for a qualified bartender who can provide our customers with an outstanding guest experience. The bartender must be able to meet all the needs of our customers, compelling them to come back again.
Making beverage recommendations based on the needs and preferences of bar customers is a crucial factor for improving guest drinking experience and our bar's profitability. Communicating with guests in a professional and friendly manner is a must for excellent customer experience.
A good job candidate must be able to perfectly prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which includes mixing ingredients to prepare classic and innovative cocktails. They also need to keep the bar clean and well-organized, as well as ensure it is always fully stocked.

Our Story
Hailing from Clarendon, Jamaica, Gareth Powell, affectionately known as Chef G, inherited the art of West Indian cooking from his grandmother, Ms. May. Inspired by his roots, he pursued culinary and hospitality training at the renowned Runaway Bay Training Institute on Jamaica's Northern coast.
After honing his skills in esteemed establishments like Sandals- Royal Plantation, Grand Lido Braco, and Riu Hotel, Chef G's passion unexpectedly transformed into a flourishing family business.
In 2016, propelled by his love for Caribbean culture and Jamaican flavors, Chef G brought his culinary expertise to Houston's streets with Jamaica Pon Di Road Street Kitchen—a food truck offering a tantalizing taste of island paradise. A genuine family venture, Chef G worked his magic in the kitchen while his family managed the logistics, nurturing a community of local foodie fans.
As the wheels turned, the food truck became a local sensation, attracting crowds with its fusion of traditional and modern dishes and Chef G's warm spirit. In 2021, building on the food truck's triumph, Jamaica Pon Di Road opened its first brick-and-mortar establishment, turning a modest dream into a cherished family legacy.
