Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to lead our warehouse distribution operations. In this role, you will oversee shipping and receiving activities, manage warehouse staff, and ensure efficient logistics processes. Your leadership will drive process improvements, uphold safety standards, and maintain accurate inventory control to support our company's growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage the flow and processing of customer orders to meet delivery requirements.
- Provide supervisory and technical skills to direction the operation of the DC and Conduit Yard.
- Maintain a safe work environment by promoting and implementing safe work practices.
- Prioritize customer orders for shipping while monitoring freight costs.
- Supervise and train employees.
- Investigate and troubleshoot shipping errors.
- Maintain finished goods inventory accuracy, quality, and research variances in the inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels at all DC’s and Agent Warehouses and schedule interplant transfers.
- Consistently administer CANTEX work rules, safety rules, attendance policy, and other policies/practices.
- Encourage and promote team building within all employees on the shift.
- Work effectively with all departments to ensure a smooth operational flow of information and products.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or warehouse supervisor roles with leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts; forklift certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, JDE experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Strong communication skills to lead teams effectively and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and possess a strong sense of urgency.
- Must be dependable.
Pay: $57,500.00 - $75,000.00 per year
