Job Overview
Gantry View School (k-5) and Bunny Hill Preschools (0-5 years old), independent schools in Long Island City, NY, are growing and we are looking for a full time Physical Education teacher to begin in the Fall of 2026. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate physical education curriculum that promotes physical fitness, skill development, teamwork and lifelong wellness.

Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement engaging physical education lessons aligned with Shape America National Standards and curriculum goals.
- Establish and maintain behavioral expectations of the classroom (~10-15 students).
- Collaborate with GVS and Bunny Hill staff to plan and implement special events.
Requirements
- 2-3 years experience coaching and/or teaching preschool and elementary sports and physical education.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning on multi-sports topics: soccer, basketball, gymnastics, etc.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and working with children of various ages.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administration in a collaborative environment.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
