Responsibilities
Assist experienced carpenters with various construction tasks on-site, including measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials.
Learn to interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely for woodworking, framing, trim installation, and fixture mounting.
Support rebar installation, masonry work, and metal stud framing as needed during different phases of construction.
Participate in the installation of cabinetry, mold remediation, caulking, stucco application, and other finishing touches that enhance project quality.
Help with heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols at all times.
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized job site by following safety procedures related to power tool use and general site management.
Requirements
Strong interest in carpentry or woodworking with a desire to learn trade skills through hands-on experience.
Basic understanding of construction concepts such as framing, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; familiarity with power tools for woodworking is a plus.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
Previous construction site experience or handyman work is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Knowledge of safety standards related to power tool use and general construction site safety practices.
Reliable work ethic with excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward skill development.
Pay: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour
