As an Activities Coordinator with our Day Habilitation program, you’ll help create meaningful opportunities for people we support with intellectual and developmental disabilities to explore their interests, make choices, build skills, and become more connected to their community. You’ll coordinate engaging on-site and community-based activities while working alongside program staff to ensure each person’s individual goals, interests, and needs remain at the center of their day.
Location: Hudson, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

- Develop, schedule, and coordinate meaningful on-site activities and community outings based on the interests, choices, and needs of people we support.
- Encourage people we support to make personal choices and decisions while promoting independence, growth, and community inclusion.
- Complete daily activity schedules and help ensure appropriate staff coverage for activities and outings.
- Provide hands-on direct support as needed based on staffing and the individual needs of people we support.
- Work with program staff to identify and develop activities that support individual goals and valued outcomes.
- Provide guidance and training to new and existing program staff regarding activities and programming.
- Develop opportunities, activities, and outings for alternative community-based programming.
- Help maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for people we support and staff.
- Conduct routine meetings with program staff to share ideas, address concerns, and plan activities and special events.
- Participate in program and interdisciplinary team meetings and agency committees as needed.
- Order program and activity supplies while remaining within established budgets.
- Complete required daily and monthly progress reports and other program documentation.
