Job Summary
micro1 is engaging Electrical Engineering Professors to contribute to a high-impact AI training project for a customer. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.
This is an hourly-paid contract opportunity for academic experts who are passionate about engineering education and technical excellence. You will help develop and evaluate graduate-level engineering content that improves AI reasoning across advanced electrical engineering domains.
No prior AI experience is required. Your subject matter expertise and teaching experience are what matter most.
Scope of Work
- Design and author rigorous graduate-level multiple-choice assessment questions within your area of electrical engineering specialization.
- Develop detailed explanations, solution rationales, and grading rubrics that reflect university-level academic standards.
- Review, validate, and improve AI-generated electrical engineering content for technical accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical quality.
- Collaborate asynchronously with subject matter experts to refine assessment quality and ensure academic rigor.
- Evaluate AI-generated solutions and provide detailed feedback on technical accuracy, reasoning, and conceptual understanding.
- Clearly communicate complex electrical engineering concepts through well-structured written explanations and instructional content.
- Contribute to the continuous development of a high-quality question bank covering advanced engineering topics.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or advanced Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with university-level teaching experience as a professor, adjunct, lecturer, or teaching assistant.
- Experience creating, reviewing, or grading graduate-level exams, coursework, or engineering assessments.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: Analog Circuits, Digital Circuits, RF Systems, Power Electronics, or Integrated Circuits (IC).
- Experience developing grading rubrics, educational assessments, or technical learning materials.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a strong commitment to technical accuracy and academic rigor.
- Ability to work independently, meet project milestones, and deliver high-quality work in a remote environment.
- Experience collaborating asynchronously on research, educational, or technical content development projects.
