Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL Class A OTR Box truck driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a 26 ft box truck with lift gate and pallet jack. As a CDL Class A OTR Box Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to load and unload cargo as needed. Truck will mostly be running in the north and south east Regions.
Duties
- Operate a Freightliner 26 ft box truck.
- Safely transport freight to designated locations while following all traffic regulations.
- load and unload truck from time to time
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo transported.
- Communicate effectively with other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Willingness to be over the road for at least 2 weeks at a time
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A NJ driver's license with clean MVR record for at least 2 years
- Proven experience in truck driving.
- Familiarity with liftgate and pallet jack
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with truck routes and use of truck GPS.
