A Day in the Life
- Warmly greet patients as they arrive and help them feel welcome from the moment they walk in
- Check patients in and out with a friendly, personal touch
- Answering a multi-line system with warmth and professionalism
- Keep patient records and insurance details accurate and up to date
- Collect co-pays and balances with tact and courtesy
- Schedule appointments and help patients navigate their visits
- Handle mail, faxes, and day-to-day office tasks
- Balance the cash drawer and prepare deposits at close
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and our medical software (MDO)
- Prepare Post-Op Management paperwork
- Take on additional duties as needed

- Previous experience in medical front office, administrative, or customer service work is ideal

Position DetailsEyeCare Consultants is looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our Front Office team! This position is responsible for making the first impression of our practice, so he or she MUST be customer service oriented, energetic, outgoing, and compassionate.
Individuals should be self-motivated, can multi-task, are detail oriented, can perform under pressure, and thrive working in a fast paced environment. Day to day activities include but are not limited to:
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and check them in and/or out for their appointments
- Enter and update patient demographics and insurance information
- Collect co-pays and balances prior to patients being seen
- Answer multi line phone
- Process mail and faxes
- Schedule appointments
- Balance cash drawer and make deposits at close
- Work with Microsoft Word, Excel and our medical software MDO
- Create Post-Op Management Paperwork
- Additional duties as assigned
Previous medical front office, administrative, or customer service is ideal. Proficiency in computer skills, being able to work with multiple systems, and dependable attendance is required.
Pay:
- $14.00 to $17.00 (Salary commensurate with experience)

- 7:30/8:00 am to 4:30/5:00 pm
